Hijama (Wet Cupping) is an ancient holistic therapy centered on the removal of blood from key therapeutic areas of the body. Using sterile, single-use equipment, our practitioners apply light, superficial scratches and a gentle vacuum to carefully extract a small amount of blood. This ancient holistic treatment is unique to revitalize the body, boost the immune system, and promote long-term vitality.

Dry Cupping has experienced a significant global resurgence, frequently utilized by elite athletes and wellness professionals to support physical recovery. Unlike Hijama (Wet Cupping), this non-invasive modality focuses on myofascial decompression without skin incisions or blood extraction, making it an ideal entry point for new clients. Utilizing specialized medical-grade polymer cups applied through suction machine, practitioners target specific areas of inflammation, localized pain, or joint stiffness to promote circulation and tissue health.

Safety & Sterilization
At our clinic, your health and safety are our highest priorities. We maintain a clinical-grade environment by utilizing strictly single-use, medical-grade cups and individually sealed, sterile blades for every session, ensuring zero risk of cross-contamination. Our commitment to hygiene extends to our equipment, which undergoes rigorous UV sterilization for all suction instruments between uses. Unlike multi-modality centers, we remain exclusively focused on the art and science of Hijama Therapy. Our practitioners are not only certified and highly experienced but are dedicated specialists in this field, providing you with expert care backed by deep educational expertise and a singular focus on traditional and clinical cupping excellence.
Understanding the Procedure: What to Expect During Your Session? Does it Hurt?
The Initial Sensation: Upon application, you will experience a firm, localized tightening sensation as the cup creates negative pressure. This is not painful and typically subsides within seconds as the practitioner proceeds to the next placement. Our specialists target specific trigger points, carefully calibrating the suction levels while maintaining constant communication to ensure your absolute comfort throughout the process.
During Incisions (Only for Hijama Wet Cupping): Following the initial suction phase, the practitioner performs a series of precise, superficial micro-incisions using a sterile, single-use surgical blade. This step is essential for the transition from dry to wet cupping (Hijama). You may experience a minor pinching or scratching sensation during this process. Because these incisions are strictly superficial, the discomfort is typically minimal and well-tolerated by most patients. As pain thresholds vary from person to person, while the majority of our clients find the process manageable, those with higher sensitivity may experience a more pronounced sensation.
Treatment Adaptation: The body acclimates rapidly to the therapy; as the session progresses, the presence of the cups often becomes imperceptible. The total number of cups utilized is tailored to your clinical objectives. For patients new to Hijama, we typically employ a conservative number of placements to ensure a gentle and effective introduction to the treatment.
Duration and Release Cups remain in position for approximately 10 minutes, adjusted according to your specific physiological needs. The removal process involves a controlled release of pressure, which many patients describe as deeply relaxing, often resulting in an immediate sense of lightness and reduced muscular tension.
Clinical Care: Our practitioners are trained to perform this step with extreme precision and speed to ensure the highest level of comfort while maintaining the clinical efficacy of the treatment.
The red marks occur because blood is drawn to the surface during treatment. A darker shade typically indicates a higher concentration of stagnant fluids such as toxins, old blood, or lymph being released. While these marks generally fade within a few hours to several days, consistent Hijama sessions for the same condition will usually result in lighter marking over time
After Hijama, we provide dates and water and request you to wait 5-10 mins to normalize your body. We provide a detailed Hijama Aftercare instructions at the end of your session. Here is summary of the aftercare:

Hijama (Wet Cupping) is revival of sunnah. ‘Hijama’ in arabic is derived from ‘Hajm’ which means ‘sucking’. Hijama is also known as cupping therapy which is the process of applying cups to various points on the body by extracting toxic blood by creating vaccum inside the cups. This is a natural therapy hence falls under alternate medicine practice to cure most of the diseases. Hijama was also known as ‘Seenghi Lagwana’ in ancient times, Hollow horns were used for Hijama.
Hijama is the best remedy recommended and used by our Messenger (ﷺ). The Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Indeed the best of remedies patients have Hijama” [Saheeh al-Bukharee (5371)].
Hijama therapy offers many spiritual & therapeutic benefits. It has been used for thousands of years to treat painful symptoms e.g. sciatica, back pain, and clearing congestion in the chest which can occur with colds and flu, but cupping has recently gain popularity for its ability to help tissues to release toxins, de-acidifies tissue directly, enhance blood circulation to stimulate the immune system, and reduce stress as it releases chemicals in the brain that may reduce stress and depression.
Hijama is a minor surgical excretory procedure, where negative pressure applied to skin surface using cups creates skin uplifting inside which local pressure correspondingly decreases around capillaries (Boyle’s law). This causes increased capillary filtration, local collation of filtered fluids, lymph and interstitial fluids and their retention inside skin uplifting. This dilutes chemical substances, inflammatory mediators, nociceptive substances, bathes nerve ending in collected fluids and breaks tissue adhesion causing decreased pain (Taibah theory for dry cupping therapy).
On removing the cups, dramatic increase in skin blood flow occurs (reactive hyperemia). Scarification of surface of skin uplifting opens skin barrier for evacuation of fluids with Causative Pathological Substances and prevents their absorption at venous capillary end. Immediate second cupping pressure is transmitted through skin incisions to create a pressure gradient and a traction force across the skin and capillaries leading to excretion of collected interstitial (ﷺ)fluids (including lymph) with Causative Pathological Substances, filtration of capillary fluids containing Causative Pathological Substances, bleeding at puncture sites and increased release of endogenous opioids (analgesic effect)
What does patient feel during or after Hijama
Hijama can be mildly or moderately painful. The degree of pain varies from person to person and the location of cupped area of the same body. The sensation of pricking with needle (lancet) or surgical blade suing cupping is quite similarly to insect bites. Post cupping symptoms varies person to person which can be a feeling of sleepiness, dizzy or little weak or lack of sensation at cupped place. These symptoms are common and doesn't stay long.
Benefits of Hijama

However, patient could have potentially these side effects in the area where the cups were applied: - Mild discomfort, Burns, Bruises or Skin Infection
